Through my research, I believe this piece was Made by the " COOPERATIVE FLINT GLASS COMPANY " in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It appears they made a limited number of this Covered Milk Glass Elephant in " Opalescent WHITE Milk Glass " such as the one offered here early in their production years around 1890.
Other Companies Like " Tiara " and " Imperial Glass" later made reproductions using the Original Mold. However, my research found None of their later reproductions being Made in " White ". Further, the opalescence and weight of this piece suggests to me it is very likely an Earlier Original Antique made by " Cooperative Flint Glass". It measures 7 3/4 in Length. It is 4 1/4" Tall and 2 3/4" Deep.
EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION : Given the design of this piece it is Very Common to Find Slight Nicks on the Edges of Lid and Top of the Base. I see One Sliver Chip just above the Right Eye of the Elephant at the Top Edge.
There are a Couple Tiny Nicks along the Top Edge of Base, which are hardly noticeable, even with a finger. The Inside Rim of the Lid has a Few Inside Nicks which are noticeable only when touching along the edge with a finger.
Lid fits nicely to the base. No Other Nicks, No Other Flakes. No Cracks, No Stains, No Scratches, and No Repairs.
