VTG Art Deco Moderne Milk Glass Light Fixture MidCentury & Chrome? For sale is one Art Deco midcentury (1920's - 1930's) milk glass light fixture with a chrome or nickel plated fitter and hanger rod. The fixture even have the 3 set screws to attach the shades which are frequently missing and the ceiling hanger. The shade is approximately 14 inches in diameter and 7 inches high and is acid stamped as follows. MACBETH MONAX inside a circle with Made in U.

SA on the outside of the circle. Above MACBETH the shades are stamped U.

The shade takes a 6 inch fitter. Total length of the fixture from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass shade is approximately 31 1/2 inches.

The rod that attaches to the ceiling is approximately 24 3/4 inches in length. There is a knob near the top of the ceiling canopy that lets you adjust the angle so the fixture will hang level or straight. This makes the fixture usable on a flat or slanted ceiling since it can be adjusted. In regard to condition, the fitter, rod and ceiling mount are all either chrome or nickel plated and the plate is in good condition overall. There is minimal oxidation on some that could benefit from additional cleaning and polishing.

Some fixtures may have a tiny split or two in the fitter collar and/or a very small indentation near the knurl ring that tightens to adjust the slant. Since these are old vintage fixtures, these will have some minor imperfections. Amazingly none of the shades are chipped or cracked.

The fixtures were used in a turn of the century commercial building and recently removed. They all have porcelain sockets and will take a standard light bulb. They have not been recently re-wired. They could be used as multiples in a commercial application! The fixtures can also be picked up if desired (90 miles west of Joplin Missouri and 90 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma).
