This is a beautiful, 100% authentic antique Wave Crest "puffy" eggcrate art glass trinket box, produced by the C. Crafted from opaque white opal glass, the square box features a quilted "eggcrate" mold design hand-painted with delicate blue floral sprays, raised white enamel dots, and taupe scrollwork accents. The lid opens on its original brass hinged collar. The bottom reveals the signature C. The underside of the lid still contains its original interior fabric cushion and early safety pins. This small, highly collectible vanity jar is a perfect addition to any Victorian art glass collection or antique dresser display.

Glass Body: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or flea bites detected on the glass surfaces or around the rim.

Hardware: The brass hinged collar has a beautiful aged patina. The lid opens and closes properly. Interior: The original fabric cushion inside the lid shows heavy age-related splitting, tattering, and wear, which is typical for silk/satin components of this era.
