Ezan France 10 Art Deco Opaline Glass Bowl With Nesting Birds Stunning

  
If you cherish birds as well as objects that take your breath away, then this Ezan France opaline bowl is meant for you. At 10 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height, this 1930s Art Deco piece appears blue, clear or milky white with streaks of orange, pink and purple, depending on its placement in the room. Regardless, it is incredibly beautiful in any light. This shallow, open bowl has a thick rim with three pairs of birds (possibly sparrows or finches) molded around the base of its exterior. The center of the bowl features twigs in a nest. There are no chips and no cracks on this spectacular piece.

Its few flaws include some light scratches (see last photo for the most obvious example that is next to the circular cloud design), some bubbles that are original to its production (see 2nd to last photo) and a few small areas of cloudiness or smudges in the glass on the bowl's sides. Ezan, based in Ezanville near Paris, produced opalescent glassware, including its popular icicles, chandeliers and lamp shades, during the 1930s. This beauty is marked Ezan France.
