Fenton LOUISE PIPER Handpainted Roses on Hobnail Milk Glass Lamp 1974-75 only. This is a dainty Fenton student lamp in the Handpainted Roses on Milk Glass pattern the Hobnail version. Fenton made this item in 1974 and 1975 only, in an attempt to find other painted Milk Glass to match the enduring popularity of Violets in the Snow. This piece would be a collectors item by itself, having been made for only two years, but this particular one is even more special because it is signed by the most famous of all Fenton artists, LOUISE PIPER.
Louise re-founded the decorating department at Fenton in 1968 and designed many of Fentons most popular handpainted decorations, including this one. Flowers painted by the master designer herself!
Perfect for your living room or bedroom, or if youre looking to add a lamp to your Louise Piper collection. It measures about 21 inches tall to the top of the chimney globe. The last picture is from Fenton's 1975 catalog, showing a lamp like this one.Glass is in good condition with no chips or cracks. I wont mince words about the brass it is tarnished badly, as you can see in the pics, but thats to be expected in a lamp this old. Fenton's ware number is 3807 RW.
