It was introduced in 1910 in carnival glass, and this rare opaque milk glass version was added sometime in the early 1930s. The design features 9 vertical panels with beautifully molded flowers, and a ring of blossoms near the base. The rim was hand-worked into a flared shape. It measures 10-5/8" tall, 5-5/8" in diameter at the rim, and 5-1/2 in diameter at the foot.
This is large and substantial piece which weighs more than 3 pounds before packaging. It is still in very good condition for its age - no chips, cracks, heavy scratches, or repairs. There appears to be some light water staining on the inside, mostly in the bottom. The glass also shows several small dark specks, which is a typical flaw to milk glass production. This includes a few random small scratches or light scuffs on the surface, and light shelf wear on the base.
You can only see these if you look closely under bright lighting. The vase's overall appearance is still mostly shiny and presentable - perfect for use or display. Please view the enlarged photos to see the detail. The first photo was taken with side photography lights to highlight the molded details. The remaining photos were taken mostly with camera flash.Feel free to ask questions if you need more information.
