Offering is for a difficult to find, EAPG, Milk Glass Tall Compote in Atterbury's Lacy-Edge pattern on their'4 foot' base. Pattern is also known as'Dancing Sailors. This beautiful Tall Compote measures 8 5/8" tall with an 8 ¾" diameter bowl and a 5 ½ diameter base. Compote's bowl is 3 1/8 deep with the Lacy-Edge. Milk glass has numerous flow lines especially on the base. There are 3 tiny shallow flakes on the underside of the bowl; two measure 3/32" x 1/16" and one measures 1/16 in diameter. There is one tiny, shallow flake on the interior of the bowl rim just below the Lacy-Edge which measures less than1/16 in diameter. Underside of base has a darkened straw line which measures approximately 5/8 long. Atterbury produced glass from 1850 through 1900.
