Art Nouveau French Opaline White Milk Glass Vases Pair Hand Blown Gold Gilt 30c

Crafted from dense, completely opaque white opaline milk glass, these vases feature an elegant baluster form with long slender necks, widely flared trumpet rims, and round pedestal bases. The shoulders are intricately decorated with hand-painted, fired gold leaf panels displaying classic Art Nouveau organic scrollwork, cross-hatched patterning, and hanging floral pendants. The undersides feature a smooth, centrally indented ground and polished pontil mark, confirming they were expertly hand-blown by a skilled artisan rather than machine-molded. The vases are standing 30 cm approx. 11.8 inches in height, with about 8.4 cm or 3.31 in diameter at the widest point on the base.

The set weights 1.060 kg. The opaque white glass is flawless with no chips, cracks, structural repairs, or flea bites along the delicate rims or bases. The hand-applied gold gilding remains remarkably bright, continuous, and crisp with only the most negligible shelf-wear consistent with age.
