Up for auctions/sale is a vintage (art deco era) ashtray/dish which features a horned devil with an evil grin and bulging eyes, in high-relief pressed milk white/opaque glass. Rather you collect odd art deco period relics, enjoy owning/displaying rarely seen items, or collect milk glass pieces, this is an outstanding piece of glass artwork you won't likely stumble upon again. For being nearly 100 years old this piece is in excellent condition, with only a few very small dark spots and a singular dark line which is either a surface scratch or hairline crack that does not go through to the other side and has no missing material.
The rough overall measurements are 5 1/2" tall, 4 1/4" wide, 1" deep, with a 2/3" high relief at the nose and with really great details. I have described this art deco period object as best I can, but to augment my description I have provided several high-resolution images from varying angles to allow for a detailed review of quality, condition, and desirability. This will be packaged with care to best ensure this rarely offered piece of art deco milk glass history arrives as pictured and described.
