Portieux Milk Glass Chimeres Chimera Covered Compote Comptier With Liner
Description: A three piece lidded compote and liner set (compotier) in the Chimeres pattern by Poriteux glass of France. This set is shown in an old Porietux catalog as #7420. This example is in milk glass, and all three pieces are decorated withe the sinuous design of mythological creatures. Size: compote is 8.5" in diameter, 6" tall. Underplate is 6.25 in diameter.
Mark: PORTIEUX FRANCE in the middle of the underplate. Condition: There's a metallic inclusion to the interior of the base of the compote, which doesn't show on the exterior.
