Rare PORTIEUX BON HOTELIER Covered Sugar Dish Antique Opaline Milk Glass c1933. This is a rare and very collectible Antique Opaline Milk Glass PORTIEUX BON HOTELIER Covered Sugar Dish, from the Early 20 th Century. This rare Antique Opaline Milk Glass Dish. Depicts a well modeled form of a BON HOTELIER or Chef in traditional Chefs French restaurant uniform, including a toque blanche (white hat), white double breasted jacket, and apron. He stands on his own, with a lively stance and very expressive face. Is mould formed pressed glass, well modeled in deep relief with very good design and detail, and is white in color with opalescence and fire. Has a fitted rim between top and bottom.

PORTIEUX is marked in relief on the inside bottom. Is in a very nice large size.

Tall x 4.2 In. Wide x 4.3 In.

The estimated date is circa 1933. The PORTIEUX BON HOTELIER Covered Sugar Dish is in very good condition- there is a bit of minute roughness on the inside of the top bottom rim. Condition status includes minimal normal wear and rubbing. Overall, this work is sound, having no chips, cracks, or major defects, and having had no apparent repairs or restorations.
