Total length of the fixture from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass shade is approximately 31 1/2 inches. Some of the shades are acid stamped "MACBETH MONAX" inside a circle with made in U. On the outside of the circle. Above MACBETH the shades are stamped U.
Jan 4 1920 (see photo). The stamp is difficult to find and I could not locate it on all the shades. It may not be present on some of the shades.
The rod that attaches to the ceiling is approximately 24 3/4 inches in length. Each of the hangers that hold the shades will have minor imperfections due to age and use. These will not be very visible when the fixtures is installed. Both hangers have some plate wear on the canopy that goes against the ceiing. The shades are in excellent condition - not chipped or cracked.
The fixtures were removed from a turn of the century commercial building. They all have porcelain sockets and will take a standard light bulb. The wires look good, but these have not been recently re-wired. There is a knob near the top of the ceiling canopy that lets you adjust the angle so the fixture will hang level or straight.
This makes the fixture usable on a flat or slanted ceiing since it can be adjusted. The fitter, rod and ceiling mount are all either chrome or nickel plated. The fixtures can also be picked up if desired (90 miles west of Joplin Missouri and 90 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma).
