Description ------- ONE (1), vintage, circa 1930s, utilitarian refrigerator dish - a large and heavy, molded glass meat tray with thick walls and high interior ribbing. The glass color is called "Clambroth" because it is a semi-translucent, off white color, with a mildly opalescent blue tone - just like a clam broth. The exterior is subtly textured, like pebbled leather, visible mostly, when tipped to the light.
Clambroth glass trays are now extremely hard to find. Even harder than the jadite green color.
Size is 13.25" x 9.25" x 2.25 exterior. Marked only (in the mold) inside, between the ribs - "Do not clean with hot water".
Shown with a ruler and a pear, for scale. Weighs 4.5+ lbs before packing. Please check out my other neat things. We have a photo studio and take all our own product photos for our listings.
